Men are sometimes clumsy, often unconscious, but not so dishonest when you can read between the lines!
When a man says:
– « »You don't look your age.... » »
What a woman understands:
– «"You're old, but it's okay..."»
In relationships, we always talk about communication, so let's try to decipher some of the misunderstandings that exist between men and women.
Actually, it's not exactly misunderstandings, it's more like messages, unconscious, unconscious for the one who says them and unconscious for the one who receives them. Let me explain:
When a man says "« you don't look your age »
He feels like he's paying a nice compliment, doesn't he, gentlemen?
What a woman understands is often the underlying thought that led the man to say that phrase; it's the unconscious message!
So that means:
« You're old, but it's okay…
I prefer younger guys, but you're still usable...
I'm being nice, I'm telling you that you're not too marked by time.…
I'm making an exception; I don't usually take old women… »
And now, if you're thinking: Oh dear, women are so complicated, aren't they?
So no, they're not complicated, they just have good instincts and are good listeners.
Upon hearing this phrase, women in general are not going to analyze the words and dissect your behavior… In fact, that's the unconscious message she's going to receive..
She is not specifically trying to twist this phrase; it is simply what will be imprinted on her subconscious.
If you think women are complicated, ask yourself if, when you say that phrase (phrased as a compliment), you don't actually mean that« Yes, she's old but she's still okay... she can still do it, and you're very kind to look at her? »
If you're honest with yourself, you'll answer: Yes, that's true…
But perhaps you weren't aware of that yet today.
In reality, it's not women who are complicated, it's men who are often dishonest. Dishonest with themselves, and women generally have a good instinct that will intuitively put them on the defensive!
