Attraction vs. compatibility: the hidden flaw

There's this strange regularity: it's often the most attractive that escape us.

The alchemy is there, the momentum too, but it all ends up being distorted. An invisible loop, repeating itself despite efforts, intentions and lucidity. It's neither a casting error nor a curse.

You meet people you like: The thrill is there, the desire too, It seems possible… Then it all falls apart, slowly or suddenly. And you start again: Same feeling, same ending. Is it the world, luck, or a spiral you're trapped in?

1. Attraction: the illusion of a perfect start

Attraction creates the illusion of something obvious.
A look, a voice, a vibration, and we believe it's a sign.
But what our body demands is not always what aligns us.
It reacts to old markers. Buried echoes.
Unfinished connections that are mistaken for magnetism.

What we take for compatibility... is sometimes a trap.
An unconscious reminder of a wound that was never healed.
And that's what makes the fall so violent: the momentum was real. But rooted in unstable ground.

2. Projection: what you think you see in the other person

We think we are meeting the other. But we are confronted by ourselves.
To our expectations, to our need for the exceptional, to our fantasies of reciprocity.

A word touches us, a gesture reassures us, a detail makes us believe in a depth.
So we attribute intentions to the other person that they don't have. We overinterpret them.
We fill the silences. We fill the gaps.

And when reality returns - harsh, less romanticized - we feel betrayed.
Through the other. Through ourselves. Through this will to love that has run away without foundation.

3. Diagrams: what you reproduce without knowing it

We play again. Always.
Even if we believe ourselves to be clear-headed, even if we think we understand.

Our emotional patterns are precise, measured to the millimeter.
They draw us to where pain can resurface. To where we hope to heal, despite ourselves.
What we call "type" is often a disguised trauma.

You choose, over and over again, people who reactivate the same areas: the wound of injustice, abandonment, rejection and humiliation. What you call your type is often your trauma.

You don't realize it because it's familiar, because your reptilian brain thinks that this time, you'll be able to fix it.
But the bond that heals never resembles the bond that caused harm.

And as long as we haven't re-educated instinct, as long as we haven't displaced desire, we continue to call what consumes us - in the name of love.

If it doesn't work with those you like, it may be because what you like isn't yet what feels good.

Conclusion

It is not love that eludes us.
It is the version of ourselves that persists in believing that it must resemble what we have already known.

Changing your relationship destiny doesn't require a better partner.
It requires an internal shift. A change of frequency.
A new kind of courage: the courage to no longer confuse intensity with truth.
